A good way to start improving your self-esteem is to stand up to the critic who lives inside you.

We all have that little voice in our head. This one can encourage you to do things, but at the same time reduce your self-confidence.

For example, this voice says:

“You’re lazy and sloppy. Now get to work!”

“You’re not good at your job at all. Everyone thinks you’re bad.”

“You are uglier than your girlfriends, colleagues or partner.”

This voice is you. The voice does not say what other people think. So you don’t have to accept what this voice says. There are ways to minimize the impact of this vote on your self-esteem.

You can easily stop this voice when you hear this critic in your head. You can literally say ” STOP “ or yell out, but you can also yell “STOP” in your head.

Or you can say ” No, no, no .” Then you can focus your thoughts on something positive and constructive, such as what you want to eat tonight.
