What is Karma and Reincarnation?

Karma and Reincarnation are inseparable. The law of karma applies to all things and is an aspect of God. Reincarnation is a consequence of this law.

Karma

Just today I read something I had read before by Edgar Cayce , the sleeping prophet , and he told about a man who had lived in the Middle Ages. And in that life he had gone on a crusade, and that was a journey for years at the time.

But when he left, he didn’t trust leaving his wife just like that. And so he fitted her with a chastity belt before he left and took the key to the chastity belt with him, so that he could be sure she wouldn’t cheat on her. In this life he is, or was, impotent, and because of that impotence he had come to Cayce.

And here you get a wonderful example of the law of karma , what you do to another, forces you not to have intimate contact with others, that will be done to you yourself. There are so many nice examples of karma, but they are always more fun in the life of another than your own. We’re going to talk a little bit about all those karmic states tonight.

It is an interesting theme though. About twenty years ago it was the case here in the Netherlands that an average of five percent of the Dutch could do something with the concepts of ‘karma’ and ‘reincarnation’.

And had something to do with that. Now, twenty years later, that percentage has increased from five to more than fifty. More than half of the Dutch live with karma and reincarnation in one way or another. If you just let that sink in, you realize that quite a spiritual revolution has taken place in this area.

Because very en masse we have started to look very differently, to believe very differently and also to look at ourselves very differently. And you can call that a spiritual revolution par excellence. So there is every reason to reflect on these concepts.Hans Stolp on Reincarnation and Karma

So first let’s take a look at those terms: what exactly is reincarnation? The word literally means to come back into the flesh. Reincarnation comes from caro – which means fleshly body. So get back into the body. And the background to that is that both I and each and every one of you has been here on Earth before. And probably a lot more than once.

And we will also meet again in the next life because the bonds that are forged once, they usually continue in the next lives. In short, this life here on earth is just an episode from a much longer serial. The sad thing is, most of us barely remember past incarnations.

I just don’t know if it’s a shame, because if you were born and you would know that you had killed someone in a previous life, then you start in this life with a nice ballast. Or if you were born into a humble environment now, and you know you were princess of Sheeba in a past life, it’s a little hard to handle, that abrupt transition.

In short, it is often said that not remembering is actually a grace that you do not remember. Because as a result you can now start this life very freely and unburdened. Karma is a Sanskrit or Old Indian word, so it comes from the Eastern tradition and by karma is meant: everything I say, everything I keep silent, what I do, what I omit, the way I live, all that determines my next to live.

Buddha once said: “If you want to understand your current life, and if you also want to know a little more about your previous lives, how that worked, then you only have to look at what happens in this life”, and if you look closely at it, you will automatically find out what must have happened in past lives.

Karma is what I called up in a previous life in values, in the consequences of my actions in that life, and in this life I therefore have to deal with the consequences of my previous lives. Can karma and reincarnation be proven? Can it be proven that it exists? Yes and no. Not in the sense that you can provide conclusive scientific evidence for it. We may not be there yet. On the other hand,LOTUS Karma

Young children, aged 2-3 years, especially from the Eastern tradition I must say, but they also occur in the Western tradition, who tell very openly, children of two, three: ‘yes, when I lived with another mom was that in a very big city, and the name was such and such, and the street was called ‘that and that’, etc. and Stevenson went to search those memories of those children very carefully on the basis of all kinds of old papers, old files etc. …

and in most cases, those kids’ memories turned out to be flawless. There had been such a street in such and such a city, and such a family had lived that was composed like this, etc., etc. Often the names remembered by these two and three-year-old children turned out to be unerringly correct. So gradually there are quite a few controlled memories of past lives. We also know what from past lives through what seers, clairsentients, clairvoyants, clairvoyants have passed on to us.

I started with Edgar Cayce, the sleeping prophet from America, and Edgar Cayce has helped thousands of people over the course of his life with their life questions and their life problems, and he did so by gaining insight into their past lives. And got to see exactly how the questions and problems of the present life were related and how they arose from those past lives.

And so there are many clairvoyants, clairsentients, who have presented evidence in that way as well. In regression therapy, and you can also do that here in the Netherlands, with many regression therapists, also in regression a lot of data about past lives comes up. And in some studies, those spontaneous memories of past lives also prove to be perfectly correct in terms of facts. Karma and reincarnation is moreover faith, if you can even call it a faith,

In fact, it’s only here in the west, Europe and America, that we’ve lost the sense of karma and reincarnation in the last two thousand years, and we’re finally starting to find it again here. But it was something known to all cultures around the world. Nowadays you often hear here in the Netherlands and Western Europe and America, people say: “for me it goes without saying that there are past lives, I don’t need to have proven it because somewhere I know deep down inside that it is true. ”

I started by telling you that in our time here in the Netherlands the percentage has increased from five to more than fifty of people who have become convinced. But those people were not converted by others, there was no mission, but somehow there were a lot of people who found themselves, hey, somehow when I look within I feel that karma and reincarnation and past life awareness come naturally to me. And actually it happened that way for me too.

I was not raised on karma and reincarnation. In a Reformed family you certainly did not hear that in earlier times.Hans Stolp on Reincarnation and Karma

I know when I was going through a difficult period in my life, and then you’re always thinking, why did it go the way it did, couldn’t it have been different, I think everyone knows that, and in a One day I was walking home again musing and thinking, furious to myself, and suddenly there was an inner voice that said to me: “Hans, you chose that yourself.

I will never forget the moment, I will never forget that voice. Because as soon as that voice sounded from within I knew somewhere: that voice is right, I think it is right. And I couldn’t escape it either, and when I thought about it, about that little voice, then I felt, yes, this has everything to do with karma and reincarnation and with past lives.

And now suddenly I know, actually I’ve always thought in karma and in reincarnation, only I never made it aware. At that moment I suddenly became aware, do you feel?

And then I immediately have what is most important to me in karma and reincarnation and that is this: that I come to realize that everything I go through in my own life I cannot blame others, I cannot blame others, and I can’t shout, that bastard, that and that.. has happened but if I’m honest I have to look at myself and say to myself: “Hans, somehow you chose this life lesson yourself.

So somehow you needed this lesson.” So don’t blame others, don’t try to play the victim, but choose your own responsibility and accept this life lesson and then extract the benefit that is hidden in that life lesson for you. Karma and reincarnation, if you handle it well, I’d almost say it makes you mature in one fell swoop, because you can no longer hide behind the broad back of victimhood, of pitifulness or whatever.

But you have to say to yourself, yes somehow I know I needed this. And that I chose something myself. Not easy, you know, very difficult even, but still, if you learn to deal with your own life in this way, you will get the greatest profit out of it.

Almost all people who have thought about karma and reincarnation also say that, and that also appeals to me: “Only if you start from karma and reincarnation, then life can get a certain justice. If there is only one life, how is it that some die after one day or after one year or after two years and that others are allowed to grow old.

And that one person gets a very nice life and the other seems to be constantly in the corner where life seems to get him or her stuck. If you look at the outside like that and you assume only one life, then life seems incredibly unfair.

And then you also come to that question that I’ve been asked very often: “how on earth can God allow it and how on earth could God have sorted it out.” Yes, but God didn’t sort it out.

So, just as you cannot blame others for your misery, any more than you can blame God for all misery. For this life is our own very personal consequence. Do you feel? There I actually immediately get to the core of karma and reincarnation. How does that actually work? Now if you leave again, and we come back, how does that work? Well, I can talk about that for hours, and I want to do that very briefly now, and it’s too short of course, but just to get a feel for it.

When we die, we first take off this jacket, and then we enter the spiritual world, and we start there on the beautiful journey to the world of light. That can also be a really nice trip. That doesn’t have to be sad or miserable at all, on the contrary. Over there, in that spiritual world we at a certain moment take off our second and third coat, our spiritual body. And what remains then is the divine core that we actually are.

If we take off that spiritual jacket there too, then we also take off the jacket of our ego, and if I take off the jacket of my ego, huh, huh, then I also want to get rid of that thunder of my fear, disappointment, sadness, insecurity , you name it. And then what’s left is a very deep, fundamental trust to fully love, to open completely.

So feel yourself, so the journey back, first take off this body, then take off the second jacket, and then become shining light in the light world. But yes, if we take off that spiritual jacket, that ego jacket, you could almost say we hang it on the coat rack there in the spiritual world. Where it will wait for us until we want to go back. Because there are still some life lessons that are not ready to finish.

And all those life lessons are neatly waiting there, but we don’t take them with us into the light world, because if we took them with us, we would again be governed by uncertainty, fear, and what not, you understand? So it remains to wait in that in-between world. If at some point we descend to earth again, we first put on a new spiritual body, and we take that piece of paper with everything we still have to do on it,

we remove it from the wall and we take it down and we re-enter a body in the mother’s tummy and we begin a new life very cheerfully, or less cheerfully. You also have cry babies who start this life less cheerfully,

Later, on that road of descent downwards, where you change from an all-knowing and an extremely loving light being to the limitation of an ego-human being on earth, well during that descent we go through the bath of oblivion.

As we go along, a kind of veil comes over our knowledge and when we are born here we don’t really know anything anymore. Although, it is starting to change in our time. The veil is starting to become a little bit translucent.

And more and more children are born who still have very spontaneous memories of past lives but also very spontaneous memories of the light world from which they came, and we will find in the future that we will be able to create more and more fragments of memories of past lives and of the light world that is actually our home,

The very first impulse of that curtain becoming transparent begins in our time. The old traditions said that there was usually about five hundred to a thousand years between the different lives. If you let that sink in you think, ha, nice, you can stay at home for a nice long time,

you can enjoy yourself for a long time before you go back to earth for a life. The Earth is also clearly a dark place and it is also clearly a place where you really go to learn, by trial and error. With nose blows, with going through the dark, but it is the school that the cosmos has created for us, and through which we can develop in a very special way.Reincarnation and Karma

The goal is that in our time and you see that, many people return faster. That old pattern of waiting five hundred to a thousand years before you finally return, that has been thrown on the shovel in our time, completely changed. You can also find booklets in bookshops, for example by Rabbi Gershom who tells about all kinds of people who are now in a body on earth again, and who remember how they in a previous life in the camps in Germany during the 2nd died in world war.

So they came back very quickly, came back very quickly because of the misery that that end of that life has reached for them, to transform it step by step into a new life. But you already feel, when such people are born here who died in the 2nd world war, they do carry a lot of inexplicable and incomprehensible fears and emotions.

Can you imagine? And those are typically what we call those cry babies who find it so difficult to settle in and who are plagued by all kinds of fears of which we do not understand where they come from. Because they have to transform those deep fears in this life step by step. We all carry emotions and fears from past lives.

In the literature, such a fear or emotion that we take with us from such a past life into this life is called a “hangover”. And just look at yourself, do you know in yourself those inexplicable fears, ie that you cannot explain from this life, eg a fear of fire, while in this life you have never experienced a special fire.

Or I know men who can’t bear to wear a tie, they immediately get choked up. Usually these are men who have died from the noose in a previous life and the memory of that still makes every form of noose evoke something in them: no. I know people who are afraid to die but then die in such a way that they are apparently dead, but that the doctor does not realize it. So that they are buried alive, that’s what they’re scared of.

Yes, these are usually people who were walled up alive in a previous life, as happened for example with heretics, or happened very often with the Cathars. Bricked alive for punishment, and you can imagine if you died like that, that you then take a very deep fear with you to the next life of being in a locked room. Look, we all carry such fears with us, because we’ve all had lives where it wasn’t so easy, where we died in a less pleasant way, and those fears always carry on.

I personally find the nice thing about thinking in karma and reincarnation that you have a little more insight into your own crazy sides, because there are fears that you are embarrassed about. We find it so hard to admit that you are afraid of that and that, because no one is afraid of that, it is childish.

It’s not childish; fears are by definition not childish. Accept them and the more you accept that they belong to you, the easier you can transform them, but before that it is also nice if you occasionally gain insight into how such emotions from past lives have been carried over to this life.Hans Stolp on Reincarnation and Karma

For me, just in between, all kinds of experiences that I had as a youngster have fallen into place. I remember when I was in grammar school that I stayed in the fourth grade and that in that year I had to do a repeat at Greek, but I hadn’t done anything at home. I also couldn’t give a sensible answer to the teacher’s question. And so I got, as it is called, a strong scolding.

I still remember as I sat listening to what he said to me, going through my mind, “Ah, man, I know Greek much better than you.” And I also remember that I was terribly ashamed, also for myself, for that thought because where did that thought come from? And I had just shown that I knew nothing about it, so it was an extremely haughty thought, I thought myself to think, oh man, I know Greek much better than you.

This is it and then I am completely radiant again because that is my true homeland. So I began to discover that the thought I had then, in that Greek class at school, was not a haughty thought at all, just an unconscious memory of a previous incarnation, you see? Moreover, if I ask myself and you may also ask yourself, why did I become a pastor, that was not really useful in my life. etc. etc. etc.

yet from my third I wanted nothing but this. When I look back, I have always worked in the spiritual sector for many lifetimes and it was therefore very likely that that spiritual track was continued in this life. Well, if at this time in this incarnation you would choose a spiritual track again, then you would become either a pastor or a minister, one of the two, at least in the Netherlands.

What is the purpose of reincarnation, why do we keep coming back?

Because quite often I hear people say, after the break, to the questions: “yes, even if it were true that there are several lives, I think one life is more than enough, I don’t have to come back.” It’s a recognizable comment. But if you think something like that to yourself, then of course it doesn’t say anything about karma and reincarnation, it just says something about the fact that you don’t find this incarnation very easy, and because you don’t find this incarnation easy, you’re like: would it can stay at once please.

But then why are we coming back? Oh, yes, just for comfort, this is what the old traditions tell you, if you have had 1 or 2 lesser incarnations, then you will get a very easy incarnation, a Sunday incarnation. Because that’s what you get, because otherwise a very deep aversion for the earthly world would indeed develop in us, so strong that we really don’t want to go back to school.

That is why you regularly get a Sunday incarnation. And just look around you. Sometimes you meet people with whom everything goes so smoothly and so naturally, they are always in the corner where the six million falls. And it just never falls to us, and then you feel: they are clearly busy with such a Sunday incarnation, to reconnect with the earth in a pleasant way so that they do not lose the taste for life on earth.

So look forward to such a next incarnation.

But why do we come back so often?

Very simple really: to become the perfect shell for the Christ mind. For all of us we will be like Jesus of Nazareth, and with Him it happened at the baptism in Jordan, with us it may happen at this time: we are all baptized, overshadowed, filled with the Christ spirit. And life after life after life, that spirit of Christ, that spirit of perfect love, of complete trust, will work more and more powerfully through us, so that when we are finished with all those earthly lives, just like Jesus, we will finally become a Christ too.

will have become perfect beings. Because one day we will all approach our oldest brother Jesus, step by step. And one day we will have become that same greatness of love power. But you already feel, such a great goal, to be allowed to become that, a Christ next to Christ, you really don’t acquire that in one life, that takes a lot more life lessons. That is why we are given so many lives to keep taking one step further on that long road of becoming Christ.

Paul says in one of his texts: “It is not I who speak, but the Christ speaks in me.” Then you feel, he is following Jesus Christ. The Christ is also incarnate in him and he begins to speak more and more clearly through him. Jesus says: “you will be perfect”, that is, you will one day become perfect, just as perfect as your heavenly father is. That’s in the gospel. One day you will become and are just as perfect as your heavenly father.

So that is only possible at the very end of that life cycle when we have completely become the living sheath and the transparent transparent sheath for the Christ mind.Hans Stolp on Reincarnation and Karma

Finding your own answer to the big questions of life

In this life and the next lives we may learn step by step to become aware of ourselves: why do we live on earth and who are we actually? So find your own answer to the big questions of life; your own answer and at the same time get a very honest insight into yourself, then you get, or then you take a step towards awareness.

We will also be allowed to learn to become independent, to learn to stand on our own two feet, because as long as we hide behind another, as long as we are still dependent on another, as long as you listen more to that other than we learn to listen to the voice of the Christ in ourselves. So the assignment that comes to us in this incarnation does not only involve awareness, gaining insight into yourself, but also learning to become independent, learning to stand on your own two feet.

And that is why it is also said that in this incarnation so many people go through lonely periods in their lives. Not easy, but intended to acquire that inner strength precisely in that period so that you also learn to be independent. And the last thing is that you may then learn, again and again, to learn to see through the outside of this life. And by that I mean this: it’s not about getting as rich as possible, gaining as much power as possible, gaining as much prestige as possible, you name it.

Those are exteriors, those are material things. What matters is that you become a wise person inwardly. And that you get your own connection with the spiritual worlds from within and that that starts to work in you and through you. but intended to acquire that inner strength precisely in that period so that you also learn to be independent. And the last thing is that you may then learn, again and again, to learn to see through the outside of this life.

And by that I mean this: it’s not about getting as rich as possible, gaining as much power as possible, gaining as much prestige as possible, you name it. Those are exteriors, those are material things. It is about becoming a wise person inwardly. And that you get your own connection with the spiritual worlds from within and that that starts to work in you and through you. but intended to acquire that inner strength precisely in that period so that you also learn to be independent.

Paul said, and it is fascinating if you take it in to your mind: “Don’t you know,” he said to his disciples, “Don’t you know that you are above angels ?will judge.” We will judge angels one day, it is almost unimaginable; those angels those beings of pure love, pure light, complete purity and we will be placed above those angels to help them find their way. Because that is what is meant.

How is that possible? That is only possible when we really become independent, conscious, Christ-filled beings here on earth. So great is the goal that the spiritual world has for us here on earth, that we will soon occupy a place above the angels in the cosmic system. It just shows that the spiritual world, with the path that we walk life after life here on earth, also has a very high goal for us.

Paul the Apostle in Prison
impression of Paul the apostle in prison

A question that is often asked is this: “ Can you return as an animal?” like an animal a wasp a mouse you name it. There is a difference between the Eastern and Western traditions in this regard. In the western tradition it is always said that a human cannot return as an animal. Because the level that you have once acquired, you can never lose that level.

Once you have passed class 3, you have passed, I must now say group 5 and 6, if you have passed that then you can never be put back to a lower group. At most, you may have to do that group again. The same is true with karma and reincarnation, you cannot fall back to a lower level, at most you can proceed with a delay and have to go over the current level again.

Now karma is seen very often and that is dangerous, as a punishment. And then it is said, it is your own fault and that is a completely wrong conception of karma. For the spirit world does not think in terms of punishment, it only thinks in terms of growth. And you can grow from the mistakes you are allowed to make. So with karma you should never think in terms of punishment, only in terms of life lessons that we are given in order to grow.

That is why in the west the law of karma is also called ‘the law of grace’, it is actually a grace that we get those life lessons, and that we can grow through those life lessons. Mistakes are part of it, without mistakes you cannot grow and you cannot learn. You can learn from those mistakes, yes, learn right down to your toes. And therefore it is not a punishment but a gift.

The danger of karma and reincarnation is therefore, and so I see it being abused in our time, that people are sometimes said: “what you are experiencing, your illness, for example, oh that is your own karma” and then this means something like: own fault big bump. I hope you have understood that that is one of the most dangerous and wrong and worst comments you can ever make.

Karma and reincarnation are only given to us to come to understand something about your own life and to accept responsibility for your own life but never to explain the life of another, you see. As soon as you start explaining the life of another, e.g. with the help of karma and reincarnation, say it is your own karma, then you are doing it godlessly,

I say it straight, because what we are asked is compassion, to have compassion and pity for the other and never to explain what the other is going through. Feel, very important, not to explain other lives, only use it to grow yourself.Hans Stolp on Reincarnation and Karma

Brief history of the concepts of karma and reincarnation

In the history of the West, karma and reincarnation gradually play an increasing role again. It started in Germany in the 18th century, about 1780. With Lessing, for example, but also with other great celebrities from German cultural history, Herder, Leipniz, Kant.

In their time they all spoke about karma and reincarnation, which was then new for the western tradition.

In 1875 the theosophical society was founded and with the growth of the theosophical tradition in the west and also here in the Netherlands, the concept of karma and reincarnation came to the fore more and more. In 1913 the Anthroposophical Society was founded by Rudolf Steiner, in which Christianity was again connected with karma and reincarnation and so it became a well-known fact in the Netherlands through Anthroposophy.

But, and that’s what I find fascinating, if you look back at Christian history, at Christianity, you see that in the first 2 centuries karma and reincarnation were still completely part of Christian teaching, that it was part of that and that it has been systematically eradicated step by step from the 2nd and 3rd century onwards by the growing ecclesiastical tradition.

In short, My thesis is also always when we become aware of karma and reincarnation again in our time, then we finally find something that originally always belonged to the Christian tradition. I say that so emphatically because, especially in the church, it is often said: “Oh well, karma and reincarnation, that’s one of those fads that has blown over from the east.”

Nothing could be further from the truth, it is rediscovering our own Christian tradition. Origins, the Church Father, the Essenes, the Mystery Schools, Justin Martyr, the Gnostics, the Cathars, the Bogomils, all of them have stories about karma and reincarnation and how it belonged to Christianity.

You can also find it in the bible but in the bible it appears in a veiled way because karma and reincarnation belonged to the secret knowledge, which Jesus generally did not speak about in public, but only spoke of in private of his student group. What Jesus did there, every great master did in the old days,

because there was knowledge that everyone could understand, but there was more extensive knowledge, and it was too difficult for everyone, and it was then kept and reserved for the group of disciples. Well,

The Man Born Blind

A beautiful story and a wonderful proof for that too can be found in John 9, the Gospel of John. And that’s about the man born blind. It’s a beautiful story. Jesus and his disciples are on their way from Jerusalem to Jericho. You can see from my hand movement: Jerusalem is on the hills and Jericho is in the plain on the Jordan, so they go down the hills like this.

And as they walk on those gritty roads, there are sitting, and some even lying, the beggars, the deformed of those times who could only earn themselves by begging, and those beggars always lay in a fixed place. And so it happened that regularly along the way those steady voices sounded of: “Would you like to give alms?” and every traveler was used to it, there he sat and there he sat.

And now they come halfway through that journey from Jerusalem to Jericho, also a beggar, who sat there in his usual place, and was a man blind from birth. And he cried as soon as he heard that group of men coming, and women for that matter, he begins to cry, “Alms, alms, alms.” And the disciples see that man born blind sitting in his place and so it is written in the Gospel, then they pull Jesus by his cloak.

And say: “Jesus, what about that man, why was that man born blind, is that because of his own sin or because of a sin of his parents?” You see, the word ‘sin’ could immediately be translated as ‘karma’, was that man born blind because he committed a sin before his birth, so is karmically charged, or is he born blind because he has the karma of his parents? helps carry?

You understand? Apparently, just the night before, Jesus in the privacy of the student circle, some things about karma and reincarnation explained, yes and now they want to know: what about this situation, do you understand? By the way, it is very beautiful the answer that Jesus gives: you also learn so much from that, then he says: “no this man was not born blind because of his own sin, nor because of a sin of his parents, “this man is blind born,” and then it literally says, “because the God would be born in him.

What is that, that the god will be born in him. The Christ in him, the higher self, I don’t care what you call it, those very deep divine powers that lie hidden within each of us and that may finally wake up and start flowing through us. So Jesus means to say: ” this man has chosen a difficult life because being blind at that time without social facilities, start there, that’s not easy.

But it is precisely such a difficult life that leads him to let go through the difficulties in one fell swoop that divine light, yes I will almost say, to bring to light, to make visible, do you feel?

Now you see that Jesus says straight through that there can be three reasons why you sometimes go through difficult experiences. Sometimes it can be your own karma, sometimes you go through difficult things to carry the karma of loved ones around you.

Your partner, your parents, your children and sometimes something difficult is not karmic at all and it is also chosen yourself because you wanted to take a huge step in spiritual growth right through the difficulties in this life. Nice, isn’t it, if you’re going to see that. Do you see that you can never say in any case: it is your own karma, which Jesus makes clear: it is a bit more varied than you think.

The nice thing is if you saved the Bible commentaries to see what they say about this text. Because you know, Bible commentaries don’t want to know about karma and reincarnation.

How would they explain this, because if this man was born blind because of his own sin, then that sin must have been committed before his birth. It would be crazy to assume that he is already being punished at birth for sins that he later commits. Yes, how can you explain that if you don’t want to know anything about karma and reincarnation. To this day you can read in the Bible commentaries that this man must have sinned in the womb.

And here you see a very forced way of getting rid of karma and reincarnation everywhere in the Bible to explain it away. There are many more tracks. It also literally says that Jesus says to John the Baptist, that pauper, who walks around in his camel-hair cloak, yes, that poverty-slayer, happens to be an incarnation of the great prophet Elijah.

And it is difficult that the students find it to understand that, they come back to it a few times. Until Jesus has explained endlessly over and over in such a way that they can get it.Hans Stolp on Reincarnation and Karma

It says a few times in so many words: “He, John the Baptist, he is Elijah who is to come.” The incarnation. The great thing is that you often come across the law of karma in the bible, only it is so veiled, for someone who understands it or for those who have ears to hear, that is stated very often.

I will mention a few texts for those who are interested. For example, in Job 4 verse 8 it says: “Let him who plow iniquity and sow trouble, let him reap it.” You see, you reap what you sow. Strophe 22 verse 8, oh there it is already written, “he who sows iniquity will reap evil”, you feel,

what you sow in one life, you will be confronted with that in the next life. “For wind she sowed and storm she reaped”. Paul in Galaths 6:7: Whatever a man sows, he will also reap.

Do you feel that you can only understand these texts in this way: what a person sows, he will also reap, if not in this life then in the next life. Someone like the well-known theologian Dorothee Sölle in Germany once said: “There is no sound of the whole Christian faith.

She sometimes said it very straight forward and that was very refreshing. Because she said, and she was mostly in her stomach with the camp executioners. Because the bible says what you sow you will reap, but look at those camp executioners from the 2nd world war. Many have escaped, and in South America have led very luxurious lives before they died. And never reaped what they sowed, you see, that’s what she was dealing with.

But you can only understand it if you place it in that context of multiple lives. In summary, for me at least it is, that the Christian faith has only become understandable and manageable for me precisely through karma and reincarnation, otherwise I could do nothing with it.

The second is that I only now understand something about justice in life, otherwise you get stuck in the enigma: why does one die young, the other old, etc. and thirdly, I am very happy myself that through insight into karma and reincarnation with my nose for my own responsibility.

And every time I have the inclination to point at others and quietly say to myself: “the others are such bastards”, it is the law of karma and reincarnation that immediately says to me again: “Hans, ha ha! , it’s not the other’s fault, you somehow wanted this yourself or created it yourself”.

If we reincarnate again, what about?

When we incarnate will we see our loved ones again when we die? Because yes, they could be back on earth long ago. And then we sometimes miss them, then we were unlucky. Well, I believe and for me it’s much more than believing, a certain knowledge: we’ll all see each other again soon, and that’s one of the things I can look forward to intensely right now.

That soon, when it’s my time to take off this jacket, there, on the doorstep, will be all my loved ones, and I’ll fall into my arms one by one, and maybe all at once, and we’ll catch up, and at cuddling and we will enjoy again that connection that was on earth and now returns again. For me that is, yes, a big party to look forward to and something that also makes life so beautiful, the knowledge: “love is eternal, love does not die”.

You may not see each other for a while, but you will stay connected and there will come a time when you will see each other again, because love is eternal and with the people you have become in love with, you will also go on forever. But then again, if so, it would be nice if they would wait a little while before going back to Earth, until I’m there too.

Now the esoteric tradition says this very simply: “First of all, they say, you usually incarnate again as a group, because with the people I have experienced in this life, yes, everything that happened in this life has happened to them. a next life has yet to be worked out. you go on forever.

So usually you incarnate as a group and usually the whole group waits ‘up’ until everyone is home again, and when everyone is back home, they go down again, one by one. I’ll say it simply, but that’s how it works. But yes, suppose that there is an impatient person, as I have just mentioned, who re-incarnates at an accelerated pace, yes, but then there is something else.

And that’s the last remark, but that immediately makes something clear. Because I said that we live here to gradually reveal our deepest core, the Christ mind, so that one day we will all become a Christ, that is our greatest task. However, right now, only a tiny fraction of that Christ mind that we really are is incarnate in each of us.

Most of our deepest self has remained at home, in the spirit world. Why? Because at this moment we are still completely imperfect and unable to comprehend the great power current of the totality of the Christ mind within us. It’s like we’re a power plant, which can hold very little watts, or volts. What does that mean. I am there, but most of me is still at home and what is left of me often speaks to me through the voice of my conscience.

Oh, so the conscience is also that greatest part, that most perfect part of myself, that has stayed at home and that talks to me very softly, very quietly now and then to get me on the right track and to help me learn the lessons of life. to learn. And if I die now this part of that divine spark that is incarnated in me comes,

it may then reunite into one whole, with this part what has stayed at home, do you feel? And in the next incarnation a small part goes down again and the largest remains there. Do you now feel how true it is, even though someone is in embodiment, I still come across him or her. Said in a way:they are always there ”.
