Yet we do not always feel vital and energetic in our daily lives. How did that happen? Read on if you want to know how you can activate your life energy.
What is life energy?
Life energy is the essence of all life. It is all around us, in the air, in the sunlight that we receive, in the food we eat. The closer to the source, the more life something contains. A freshly fallen apple from the apple tree, the height of summer, the fresh air in a blossoming forest…
Life energy is everywhere, but most present in places where there is a lot of life; where the elements of nature are.
A good example is the beach, where the waves hit the coast. The wind is blowing and the sun is shining. Yes, on the beach you will find a lot of life energy. And this is one of the reasons why many people love to get a breath of fresh air.
Places with a lot of life energy
Every landscape has certain power spots where the energy comes together, these are often special beautiful places that immediately stand out. The highest point of an area, the beautiful lake where all the birds are.
Nature and we humans are attracted to these places. It is where the most life is, and in these places we can also recharge ourselves. Sacred places of ancient peoples also originated here.
But not only in nature, there are also places in cities where the energy comes together. Many of our beautiful old buildings are built on these power places. These are the important places in the city, such as the cathedral tower of Utrecht. Check it out if you’re ever in the area. There seems to be a power spot here.
The Netherlands is full of these power places where you can recharge, but the most powerful places can be found in nature. Where the life energy is most present.
Your life energy
All of the above also applies to us, the closer to nature, the fresher the food and the closer we live from our core, the more life energy we will have. It is important that we pay attention to our energy level.
If we notice that we already have little energy, it is extra important that we make choices to go to places and people that give us energy. The same goes for our diet. When we have little energy, our body can handle heavy energy much less well.
So when we have little energy, for example because we have worked hard, it is essential that we make choices for ourselves that give us more energy, such as:
- Opt for healthy food, low in sugars and less junk food.
- Dealing with people who give you energy
- Do things that give you energy
- Sufficient sleep
- Do something in the form of meditation on a regular basis
Everything revolves around balance. Once we have enough energy, it makes a lot less difference if we occasionally eat or drink something unhealthy. Our body can then process this
Breathing: always access to your energy
But for real balance it is best to look at your breathing. If there’s one thing that’s always available, it’s air. It is the most important energy supply that we can always access. The air is full of oxygen, but also prana (life energy). We need these to nourish our physical and energetic body. Unfortunately, we often only use 30% of our breathing and lung capacity, at the expense of our life energy.
As children we breathe much deeper, but due to the pressure and stress we experience in society and the little exercise we get from sitting in a chair all day, our breathing decreases drastically. And this is a great shame, because there is an easy thing to do.
When I realized this, I started to delve into various meditation and breathing techniques, including Pranayama (Indian breathing theory). I learned that your breathing is the key to gaining more life energy in a period when I could use it well.
