Kenyoku-Ho: Clear Your Energy With This Simple Exercise
Do you notice that energy from others often sticks to you or do you do a lot of energy work such as Reiki? Then Kenyoku-Ho is essential for you. Kenyoku-Ho is an exercise to clear your energy. Once you become more familiar with the exercise, you can clear your energy in seconds! This article explains how to perform Kenyoku-Ho

Kenyoku-Ho means dry shower and sounds much more complicated than it actually is.

Energy Blockages

There can always be blockages in our energy system. Energy blocks can be triggered by various factors, for example, stress, worrying, or anger, but also by an unhealthy diet, an unhealthy lifestyle, too little sleep, and more. Cleaning your energy helps to remove the blockages and let energy flow quickly and freely again. It brings you back to the moment.

The technique we explain here was introduced (but not invented) by Mikao Usui. It is widely used in martial arts

Kenyoku-Ho

Kenyoku-Ho means dry shower and sounds much more complicated than it actually is. You simply make a few quick movements through your energy body with the intention of clearing the existing blockages. It only takes a few seconds to do when you’ve done the exercise a few times before and are used to it.

Exercise: Kenyoku-Ho (dry shower)

  • Exhale, moving your right hand toward your right hip in one smooth, diagonal motion.
  • Inhale, bringing your left hand to your right shoulder.
  • Exhale, move your left hand diagonally to your left hip.
  • Inhale, bringing your right hand back to your left shoulder.
  • Exhale, bring your hand diagonally again to your right hip.
  • Extend your left arm in front of you with the palm up

Your hands may lightly touch your body during the movements, but it is not necessary. If you do the exercise quickly, you may find it easier to take a deep breath in at the beginning and then exhale slowly as you perform the moves.

You do indeed do the cleaning on the left twice and on the right only once. This is due to the Japanese tradition of avoiding anything related to the number 4. In Japanese, the word four means the same as death. Kenyoku-Ho can also be used after treatment or meditation to bring you back to the here and now. It is a fantastic technique for grounding yourself.
