Top 10 Worst People Who Ever Lived

Fortunately, many of the 107 billion people would have had a good heart. Unfortunately, that cannot be said of everyone. Which of all those people have been the worst as far as we know? You can read that below in the top 10 worst people who ever lived.

1. Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler was a German politician who was leader of the Nazi party. Chancellor of Germany from the year 1933 to 1945 and ‘führer’ of Nazi Germany. In 1939, Hitler kicked off World War II by invading Poland, a war that probably cost 75 to 85 million lives.

He is also the central figure behind the Holocaust in which 6 million Jews, Roma and political opponents were imprisoned in camps before being killed en masse, from standing executions to the gas chamber.

When he saw in 1945 that the war could no longer be won, he and his wife committed suicide. What happened to his body has never been clarified.

2. Joseph Stalin

Joseph Stalin was a Georgian dictator and leader of the Soviet Union from the 1920s until his death in 1953. He still enjoys popularity in modern-day Russia as a war hero who turned the Soviet Union into an absolute world power.

Yet he is damned by most people for his mass repression, ethnic cleansing, millions of executions and famines caused by him that killed many millions of people.

3. Mao Zedong

Mao Zedong is the founder of the People’s Republic of China. Its Marxist-Leninist theories, military strategies and political policies have come to be known as Maoism.

Violence and terror were accepted ways for Zedong to achieve his goals. The Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution started by Mao Zedong has led to an unimaginable number of 40 and according to some sources even 70 million people.

All this was the immediate cause of all the steps that made China, then still agrarian, a world power.

4. Pol Pot

Pol Pot was a Cambodian Maoist revolutionary who led the Khmer Rouge. After Pot became ruler of Cambodia in 1975, he introduced agrarian socialism.

People from the city were thus forced to move to the countryside and work on farms.

During his four-year reign of terror, forced labour, malnutrition, poor medical care and numerous executions killed up to 2 million people. This is about a fifth of the entire country.

5. Heinrich Himmler

Himmler was leader of the SS in Nazi Germany and more interested than Adolf Hitler in creating an Aryan master race. Himmler became leader of the SS, Gestapo and head of the concentration camps and ‘final solution of the Jewish question’.

Himmler is seen as perhaps the biggest person responsible for the Holocaust in which between 5 and 6 million people, mainly Jews, lost their lives.

After being captured, Himmler committed suicide by biting a cyanide pill he had hidden in a molar.

6. Osama Bin Laden

Osama Bin Laden is the master villain who is held responsible, among other things, for the attacks of September 11, 2001. In these attacks, among other things, two planes flew into the Twin Towers in New York.

Because both towers collapsed, the death toll soared, to just over 3,000. This was the largest attack ever on American soil and the main reason for the ‘War on Terror’ that was waged in Afghanistan.

Ten years later, Osama Bin Laden was shot in the head by Navy SEALs and given an anonymous seafarer’s grave.

7. Saddam Hussein

Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid ak-Tikriti was the 5th President of Iraq and had a key role in the 1968 coup that brought his party to power in Iraq. Hussein has used chemical weapons of mass destruction many times in the Iraq-Iran war.

Saddam didn’t even hesitate to use these resources on his own people. After the United States suspected that Iraq also had nuclear weapons, Hussein refused to cooperate in the investigations.

The US invaded the country and after a year Saddam was captured. He was executed by hanging on Saturday December 30, 2006.

8. Vlad Tepes

Vlad III is also known as ‘Vlad the Impaler’ and did not acquire this name without it. Despite the fact that he managed to keep Romania out of Ottoman hands for a long time, he handled it absolutely horribly.

Captured soldiers were tortured for days and eventually impaled on a wooden stake several meters high. Slowly but surely, the pole penetrates deeper into the body until eventually death follows.

Vlad is said to have speared 100,000 people, although modern historians estimate about 30,000 to 40,000 people.

9. Kim Jong Il

Although his father or son could just as well have been here, the entire North Korean Kim dynasty is rotten through and through. Kim Jong Il ruled the country from 1994 until his death in 2011.

Besides starting the Korean civil war that eventually led to 3 million deaths, the Kims have ruled the people with an iron hand for decades and North Korea is known as the most repressive state in the world.

The population is obliged to worship the Kims. When someone is not docile enough, he/she and the entire family are starved, killed, imprisoned or mistreated.

10. Jeffrey Dahmer

We start this top 10 with Jeffrey Dahmer. The only non-politically engaged person on this list. Jeffrey Dahmer is known to be the most horrific serial killer who ever lived and unlike most of the others on this list, he never did anything right.

Dahmer has been convicted of 17 murders but probably committed more than 30. He intoxicated his victims, strangled them and then had sex with them before cutting off their heads and genitals and putting them in strong water.

He has also tried several times to create ‘sex zombies’ by pouring boiling water or hydrochloric acid into the brains of still living victims. Finally, at the age of 34, Dahmer was murdered by a fellow inmate.
